How you will make an impact:
Develop and research novel algorithms for autonomous vehicle navigation
Perform testing in-simulation and in-field to validate motion planning algorithms and features.
Deploy and integrate algorithms on-robot.
Stay up-to-date on recent developments in autonomous navigation research.
PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Controls, Motion Planning or related fields.
Strong algorithm development abilities.
Deep understanding of state-of-art motion planning and control algorithms, including RRT/RRT*, MPC, Bayes/Kalman/particle filtering, reinforcement learning, etc.
Strong background in discrete and continuous mathematics
Knowledge of Python, C++, and/or other programming languages.
Ability to understand, apply, and build upon recent literature in the field.
